Letter from Recruitment Chair
Hey there!
We’re thrilled you’re considering joining a sorority through primary recruitment at Northern Kentucky University! The Zeta Sigma chapter of Delta Gamma is proud to be part of NKU’s Panhellenic community, which brings together seven incredible sororities. Sororities at NKU are such a tight-knit group, and we all find our own joys and meaningful experiences through our sisterhoods. Even though we work closely with the other chapters through recruitment, Delta Gamma is unique in many ways.
Our colors—bronze, pink, and blue—are a big part of our sisterhood, and our anchor symbol reminds us always to have hope. One thing we’re incredibly passionate about is our philanthropy, Service for Sight, which lets us serve and connect with people who are blind or visually impaired. We serve our philanthropy by hosting Desserts with DG in the spring semester and holding philanthropy events in the fall as well. Living out our motto, “Do Good,” is something we strive for daily on campus, in our community, and beyond.
Recruitment is an unforgettable experience, and everyone’s journey is slightly different. I found so many new, genuine friendships—both with people in my chapter and others going through recruitment who joined other chapters. I saw so many amazing women in each chapter, but I found that Delta Gamma was the one calling me home. Each chapter has its amazing sisterhoods, and we are excited for you to find your new home in one of them. If you find, like me, that Delta Gamma is where you are meant to be, we are so excited to welcome you to the do good sisterhood!
We can’t wait to meet you at the start of the school year and for you to join our amazing Panhellenic community. My Delta Gamma sisters and I are counting down the days until recruitment this fall, September 11th–14th!
